Short summary of the project:

In the course of the investment, Puidukoda OÜ will acquire a new silo, a new filter system and chipper. Puidukoda OÜ will increase its efficiency of production by reducing loss of raw materials through the introduction of new technologies.

• The working time of the pellet line is extended by at least 4 weeks (28 days) through the integration of a new chipper and new silage, filter. The current production of 113 tonnes per week will be increased to 129 tonnes after the implementation of these measures.
• Sawdust productivity which is currently at 121 tons per week, will increase to 129 tonnes.

Project goal and result:

The goal of the project is to achieve an improvement in resource utilisation of at least 1% and increase resource productivity. In order to meet our targets, the following activities will be implemented:

• The company will acquire a new silo filter system with innovative automation to increase the wood waste separation capacity of the production lines and, as a result, increase the utilisation of wood waste produced.
• Due to the expanded filter system capacity, the efficiency of the planing lines will increase due to reduced downtime required by silage filling.
• The addition of the wood waste chipper integrated into the production line allows the waste generated to be immediately shredded and sent to the production of pellets and sawdust, or to the wood waste boiler silo. In addition, the use of outsourced services will end.
• All wood waste lines are interconnected by conveyors to ensure a smooth production process through the effective movement of wood waste.
